Sidney Samson (born October 2nd 1981) grew up in a family where music was part of everyday life. When he was 13, he started DJ-ing. Initially playing Hip Hop, he soon started adding house music sounds to his sets. Surprising perhaps, because Sidney loves hard rock and taught himself how to play guitar at an early age!

His big break came when he released the massive club anthem “Riverside” in 2009. This record became a huge global hit, scoring Top 5 positions in, amongst others, the Netherlands, the UK and Australia. His tours became global and he quickly became a star in the genre.

Sidney loves to collaborate with other artists. From 2009 onwards, he released a string of singles with artists as varied as Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Lil Jon, Far East Movement, Will.I.Am and Martin Garrix. With his (now ex) wife Eva Simons, Sidney scored two massive hits in 2015-2016 with “Policeman” and “Bludfire”. These singles further confirmed his status as a superior composer and producer.

In 2018 Tujamo and Sidney created a new version of Sidney’s global hit “Riverside”, “Riverside Reloaded”, this record soon climbed up the charts, even reaching the nr. 1 airplay spot in France.

Musical Freedom singed Sidney’s collab with Gwise “soldier” within hours of Sidney finishing the production. Sidney followed up “Soldier” with another true EDM bomb, called “Raveheart”, which was released in September on Smash the House, once again scoring massive support in the EDM scene.
